What to expect
This isn’t a formal event — far from it! Expect kids running wild while parents do their best to keep up, the occasional clatter of broken dishware, and a delightful patchwork of borrowed furniture. More than anything, this is about bringing together friends and family for a joyful, relaxed gathering. Come hungry and thirsty — we’ve got you covered.
Visitors from Afar
Please let us know if you are visiting from out of town and require accomodation. We will host where we can, otherwise we can recommend some local accomodation. Anyone staying with us will be drafted into party preparation.
Toronto weather in late September is usually quite warm, with daytime highs averaging around 21°C and minimal rainfall over the past five years. Overnight lows tend to hover around 17°C. (Thanks a lot, 2022 — really dragging down the averages. Boo, hiss!)
Transport
Driving - As usual, Toronto is an hour from Toronto no matter where you are coming from. There is street parking outside the house if required.
Subway - get off at Runnymeade station (Line 2, Green Line, Bloor–Danforth Line), then take the 79a or 79b bus to East Drive.
Train - the GO and UP station at Weston is not far. Take the 79a or 79b bus from GO/UP Weston and get off at East Drive.
